At Steely Dental, we use Orthobrain™ SimplyClear™ Aligners, which are virtually invisible and fit comfortably in your mouth. Each set of aligners is worn for approximately three weeks before moving to the next phase, gradually guiding your smile into alignment.
Most patients find clear aligners far more comfortable than traditional braces. You may feel slight pressure or tightness for a day or two when switching to a new set, this is a normal sign your teeth are moving. As your Mishawaka dentist, I take care to design your treatment so these adjustments are gentle, allowing your mouth to adapt naturally.
Typically, you’ll visit our office every few weeks for progress checks and to receive your next set of aligners. These appointments are also a chance for us to answer questions, make refinements, and ensure your treatment stays on track. My goal is to keep your visits efficient, supportive, and stress-free.
Yes! One of the best benefits of clear aligners is that they are completely removable. You’ll take them out to eat, drink (anything other than water), brush, and floss. Just remember to wear them for the recommended 20–22 hours a day for the best results.
Some patients notice a slight change in their speech during the first few days, but this typically disappears quickly as your tongue adjusts. If you have concerns, I’ll share tips to help you adapt faster and feel more comfortable speaking with your aligners in place.
